The Scream By : Edvard Munch

Made between 1893 and 1910

The Painting was created by Edvard Munch in 1893 . in the painting i see all sorts of different colors like different reds , blues browns blacks and orange i also see some whites and little gray and all the colors seem to be merging with each other 

I see how the clouds and he compared to blood because there a mix of orange and red . I also noticed what seems to be a board walk in my point of view and really the whole painting is a mix of many different colors I blues , whites , reds , oranges and many different shades of brown and shades of black I also noticed the two black figures walking behind him which he said were his two friends that accompanied him on his walk and to me they kind of look scary so when I first saw the painting I thought the figure screaming was screaming because it was scared .

When I first looked at this painting I thought that the two figures following him where scary and probably kidnappers or robbers coming to get him and that’s why the figure in the painting was screaming but when I read why he painted the painting I was confused because that’s not what it seemed like and he also stated that he felt or sensed a scream through the nature but I just didn’t get that image in the painting

in my opinion i didn't really like the painting because i simply did not get it especially after i had read the back round the only thing i can say i kind of like is all the colors which seem like pastels and i like the black figures in the back and how frightened the guy in the painting that is screaming actually looks i really get the feel that he is scared when i look at him
